As my writing has become less studied and more desultory, I've become preoccupied with the project of preserving and protecting, and endlessly revising, what I have written. I am encouraged in the task by the fact that, while some of it embarrasses me, I do enjoy much of what I have written. Although fitful efforts have been made in the past to publish some pieces more conventionally or commercially, none have ever been successful. I find such failure remarkable only insofar as so many others have found success.

A technical note: regretably, Blogger only allows works to be dated as early as 1999. Thus I've had to adopt a workaround in trying to maintain some loose historical chronology to the record here presented.
